2007 Treaty of Rome - 2€ Belgium Proof

€2 commemorative coin, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome.

The Treaty of Rome is the name given to two treaties:

- Constitutive Treaty of the European Economic Community (EEC)
- Constitutive Treaty of the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom)

They were signed on March 25, 1957 in Rome by West Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. It came into force on January 1, 1958.
