€2 commemorative coin dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the 1822 Constitution.
To mark the Bicentenary of Portuguese Constitutionalism, the Portuguese Republic and Casa da Moeda issued a commemorative coin designed by the sculptor Hugo Maciel. On the obverse, we see the separation of the “three branches” of power highlighted. On the reverse, we see the symbol of the Crown and the flourishes that adorned the cover of the publication of the Constitution of 1822, published by Imprensa Nacional, marking the continuity of History.
