International Women's Day takes place every year on March 8th to celebrate the
achievements of women around the world.
MARIA MOLINER (1900 – 1981) was a Spanish librarian and lexicographer.
She is best known for her “Dictionary of Spanish Language Usage,” first published in 1966-1967.
Nobel Prize winner for Literature, Gabriel García Márquez, defined María Moliner's work as "María Moliner achieved a feat with very few precedents: "she wrote alone, in her home, in her own handwriting, the most useful, most complete and most enjoyable dictionary of the Spanish language."
